The haunting in New Jersey

Movie fans who want a bad scare this weekend can go see "The Haunting in Connecticut" and be shocked at exactly how little they get for their movieticket money these days.

But fans who want a good scare can skip this "Amityville Horror" rehash and check out a trio of classic ghost stories at the Landmark Loew's Jersey Theatre in Jersey City, instead including the remarkable "The Innocents."

The film was a bit of a breakthrough for Golden Age Hollywood back then, ghosts were seen as comical creatures, always going West or taking Topper for a ride. Scary spectres stuck mostly to Dickens, or occasional dream sequences lululemon athletica.
