Rupa (author) wrote: Hi everyone, Thanks for your comments,cheaptomsshoessalei.com.For those of you who say that the Pak economy was doing quite well at the time of rising Islamic fundamentalism, that s a relative question. It doesn t mean that the economy was taking off the way that ours or China s is now. Point is that economy back then relied heavily on rent-seeking and was not exactly a dynamic modern economy. And for those who cite the MFN status has not been given to India by Pakistan, I think this a relatively easy first step that Pakistan can take. 11:34 pm January 11, 2011 only solution wrote: Let pakistan fall in its own and repopulate 8:55 am January 12, 2011 Naga Bushan wrote: I wholeheartedly agree with Ms.Dehejia. Indian traders from coastal areas like Gujarat were very successful for centuries in the countries abutting the Indian Ocean like Oman,African countries,Indonesia and Burma. Pakistani businessman can benefit and learn from their Indian counterparts. Indian multinationals can easily adapt to Pakistani soil if only the short-sighted Pakistani government will realize the potential. If the Pakistani youth have better employment opportunities they are less likely to be baits for the terrorist organizations. US can never put an end to terrorism with drone attacks as long as the unemployed and madarassa- educated youth are a ready fodder for the terror groups. By the way the same logic may apply to Kashmir! 2:02 am January 15, 2011 Ali wrote: Thanks for the concern for Pakistan s economic woes, but no thank you! This whole article is based on a premise of India being superior to Pakistan and Pakistan somehow benifiting from the benevolent Mother India by being a client state! Much like what the Raj was to England. If thats your idea of what Pakistan should be, then yes, you are correct that no Pakistani would ever accept that. And quite frankly, Im VERY surprised at the arrogant attitude of Indians who have no real first hand knowledge of Pakistan vis a vie Inda! I have visited India and trust me when I tell you, an average Pakistani lives MUCH MUCH better than an average Indian. Thats a fact oft repeated by all the people I know who have visited India and Pakistan! India might have a super-economy of some 50-odd million super-rich that is window dressing its REAL basic economic problems. Just because India can boast 3 Billionaires in the top 10 list on Forbes magazine does not mean that indian wealth is spread evenly, cheap toms shoes. So I highly doubt Pakistan could use India as an economic model. The whole of problem of Pakistan is that of its own doing. We need a stable and functional democratic government, free of military intervention. When that happens, you will see a relationship between Pakistan and India akin to Brazil-Argentina. India cant do anything about this. Simply exporting goods to Pakistan while extracting raw materials will NOT help pakistan, toms shoes sale, no matter how much it benifits Indian designs. Thanks for the consideration though! 2:14 am May 17, 2011 Indian wrote: guess..
