their conscience is clear, why not have a banking system like any other developed country clean and transparent? As a country, officially, Switzerland maintains a secretive banking system. In other words, they officially want to be a shelter to thieves around the world. On the other hand, as Transparency International confirms, their governance is clean. But look at India though the governance in India is corrupt, at least India officially and as a matter of policy does not support thieves. With this, I think as a country, India is on far higher moral ground than thief Switzerland.Unfortunately, the author of this blog could not make this distinction and quotes TI in wrong context to defend Switzerland, toms shoes sale. 7:21 pm May 2, 2011 Rohit wrote: @VasuI know its indian goverment s resposibility to get back the money. But the swiss are equally guilty in this problem. Their secrecy laws amount to abetment of corruption. There is no doubt in this. The swiss are not open about their banking industry at all. You cannot run a bank and claim that you dont know who your customers are. Also , the fact that Switzerland is a an advanced, knowledge driven economy has nothing to do with this problem. Its not the swiss economy but their banking system that is in question,cheaptomsshoessalei.com.Having said that, I dont think boycott is the right answer.Factually speaking swiss do not manufacture anything. The only thing that they make is banking services for the corrupt , how to boycott that? 12:39 am May 3, 2011 Vasu wrote: Thanks for the comments and advised to me to talk to my Swiss friends! Let’s put a few things in perspective here:1,cheap toms shoes. Switzerland is not a criminal country relying only on corrupt money. Look up dibble publication such as OECD, WEF, Economist etc. and read up about Swiss economies. Have some of you heard of multi-billion dollar firms in different industries such as Nestle, Novartis, Syngenta, Roche etc? And just by the way, India contributes a small fraction to Swiss economy / exports, so a crazy ban of Swiss products would have minimal impact. Knowing the Swiss, they won’t sacrifice anything more than drinking one beer less every year.2. Assuming hypothetically that Switzerland was indeed a completely rogue country as some of you assume. There is no was India, with its hopeless international diplomacy can do anything about that. Kindly request you read once again Julian Assange’s views on The Hindu, Times Now on how the Indian government’s response to exposes contrasted those of Germany, U.S. Much as I am a proud Indian, on the international bargaining table we are always an emerging country behaving naively like a hopeless one.3. Every country’s primary priority is the economic and social welfare of its own citizens and ensuring is safety. So, if India is being looted and raped by powerful people across parties (Gandhi family, Yediyurappa, Lalloos, Karunanaidhi family, Kalmadi, Pawar, Raja the list of powerful crooks across parties is endless) it is OUR prerogative, and onoly ours to address the rot in the system with time.
