By PAN PYLAS, Associated Press LONDON (AP) European stocks remained firm Thursday after cash-strapped Spain got through another set of bond auctions unscathed and the European Central Bank kept interest rates unchanged. The Spanish Treasury said it raised 2.52 billion ($3.3 billion) in 3- and 5-year bonds, slightly above the target range of 1.5 billion to 2.5 billion. However, it did have to pay more to investors to part with their cash, in a sign that the country's economy remains a concern. The auctions came ahead of the monthly ECB meeting, which took place this time in Barcelona. As expected, the ECB kept its benchmark interest rate at the record low of 1 percent.
